Please see attached the notice of the Essex Junior Squash AGM which takes place on Wednesday 5th July at 7.3pm Hamptons Sports Club (formerly Marconi) CM2 9FH. AGM 2017 notice
Essex Junior Squash is run entirely by volunteers, our activities this year have included: the Essex Closed, Essex Open, Grand Prix Series, Inter County competition, Inter County friendlies, County Trials, County Training, Development Squad training and one of the best junior county websites.
In order to continue this level of activity it is essential that we have a full committee of ‘willing volunteers’. There are several places available on the Committee this year if you are interested in supporting and getting involved in junior squash in Essex. Please come to the AGM and email me with your nomination proposal.
John Allpress is leaving the Committee at the end of the season, he has a wealth of sports coaching and development knowledge which has been hugely beneficial to Essex Junior Squash over the past three years, his son Aaron (currently the Essex U19 champion) is hopefully heading for university in the autumn and it would appear John doesn’t want to spend all his spare time in a squash environment! Thank you John for all your help.
I will also be stepping down at the end of the season so this will probably be my last email to you all as Junior Secretary & Treasurer. Thank you to all those who have responded to my emails over the years and returned forms etc. when requested, you made my job so much easier, to all those who take a little longer and require a few reminders please try a little harder for whoever takes over from me, they really will be most grateful!!
