Congratulations to Connaught’s Yusef Sheikh on reaching a personal high of TWO in the current England Junior Squash rankings. Yusef’s rise is reward for some incredibly hard work with coach Dave Webster as well as the Essex coaching system.
Yusef has become a key member of our Under-11’s county and East Regional squads and with another 10 months until his 11th birthday it will be fascinating to watch his progress challenging Warwickshire’s Abdalla Eissa for the number one spot.
Elsewhere, Ollie Green (U-13), Joel Braddock (U-13) and Aaron Allpress (U-17) maintained their places in the top 10, as did girls’ U-11 Renitha Srindran. And Billericay’s Alice Green is firing well on two fronts. She’s the current English number one in the girls’ U-15’s and is ranked fourth in the Under-17’s too, where Essex also has Elise Lazarus at number six.
