Super Regionals put Essex lads through their paces

It’s punishing but squad players dig in at elite training sessions

Essex players were well represented at the ESR Super Regional Squads held over the weekend.

Five players from the county were called up for the under-11 and under-13 age group training sessions at Luton and Dunstable while Berkhamsted hosted the U-15 and U-17 squads.

Coaches Chris Ryder and Josh Taylor (pictured above) put the younger groups through their paces with a combination of technique improvement and punishing routines. And as our picture below illustrates, the Essex contingent of Joel Braddock, Ollie Green, Mikey Tallentire, Harry Kitchens and Timmy Bacon were pretty much floored by the finish.

The Super Regionals are the final step before being included in the national squads. The standard and work ethic from all the players at Luton and Dunstable augers well for the future.
