Essex’s Ben Coleman won his third PSA Tour title inside two months on Sunday when he lifted the Madrid Open trophy in Spain.
The 23-year-old from Chelmsford, who was the favourite for the $5,000 tournament, justified his top seeding with a 3/1 victory over second-seeded Frenchman Christophe Andre in the 76-minute final.
Coleman captured his first Tour crown at the North of Scotland Open in April and followed up with the Ipswich Open last month.
He tweeted after his 9-11, 11-5, 11-8, 11-4 success: “Madrid OpenCHAMPION!!! Couldn’t be happier. Tough week, so pleased to come through it as the champ!”
To round off a great day, Coleman celebrated a career-high world ranking of 68 in the June list, up five places from last month.
