Essex Juniors gave a great account of themselves at the East Region tournament at Ipswich over the weekend scooping three titles and four runners-up finishes in a competitive field.

Alex Banhidai from Bishops Stortford was dominant in the Boys’ U-13’s with some impressive wins, including a belting final against local favourite Matthew Bartley. Alex came from two down to win 11-6 in the decider. Essex’s Jamie Brown was third.

The Under-15 girls saw a strong Essex entry which eventually saw Olivia Broderick take second place behind Bedfordshire’s Sophia John. Hannah Morley finished third, Mikayla Mann 4th and Lara Newton 5th.
