Off the Wall Squash are taking their spectacular Squash Evolution women’s tournament and exhibition to Ipswich in August.
The graded squash and racketball event at The Ipswich Sports Club, Henley Road on August 20-21st is open to players from all levels of the game from professional, county, club and beginner standard, and is being backed by some of the biggest names in the sport.
The event was originally planned to take place at TheEdgbaston Priory Club in Birmingham but due to circumstances outside the organisers’ control, it has now been switched to Ipswich.
Laura Massaro, the current World no. 1 from Lancashire and eight-time world champion Nicol David from Malaysia gave their immediate support for the festival, designed to help the revival of squash, rated the world’s healthiest sport.
Laura said: ” When I heard about the Squash Evolution event, I thought ‘wow, this is just what the game needs.’ It sounds absolutely fantastic. Good luck to all the Squash Evolution team. They are doing a fabulous job promoting women and girls’ squash.”
