Top seeds Georgina Kennedy and Richie Fallows (Essex) are the champions of the resurrected British U23 Open, held for the first time since 1990 at the Roehampton Club this weekend.
“It was a clinical performance by Gina,” said tournament director Paul Lindsay. “”Had Ellie got her drops or trickle boasts up in the second we could have had a longer match.
“The men’s final was a great game with both players playing some lovely squash and playing the ball the majority of the time. The quality of Richie’s winners just edged the match but both deserve credit for physical effort and great entertainment.
Richie won his match 3-1 .6/11, 11/6, 11/5, 12/10
