Over the last couple of weeks I have had a number of parents asking what the process for signing up to Miles Smith EJS GP series is, what are the checkpoint dates etc.
Hopefully this post will give you an idea of the time frames for producing a Grand Prix schedule.
Our next Grand Prix is GP5 Sunday 11th February at The Connaught Club.
Entry is online via www.essexjuniorsquash.com/grand-prix

Once you have filled in the relevant entry form for the GP we ask that you BACS the entry fee to Essex Junior Squash. Details can be found at the top of the grand prix page.
Closing date for GP5 is Sunday 4th February at 23:59.
On Monday 5th I will email all entries received to everyone on my contact list. Please check this list to ensure your child is registered. If you have not received this email from me by Monday evening and you have entered, let me know asap via ejs_secretary@outlook.com
Tuesday 6th will be the 24 hours I keep open for late entries. After midnight on this day, no further entries will be accepted.
Wednesday 7th is when I start to prepare the draws and playing schedule. Adding one player to the schedule after it has been prepared generally means another 6 to 7 matches which have to be shoe horned into the schedule so when a parent asks me, “can you just add little Johnny” the effect is that I have to start all over again.
Thursday 8th is when said draw and playing schedule will be distributed to all entrants.
Please bear the above dates in mind when entering the series.
Kind regards,
David Harris
