Essex junior players bagged a first and second place finish at the recent Silver event held at the David Lloyd Club in Purley, Surrey.

Chelmsford’s Eleanor White (pictured above), who trains at the Off The Walls Squash Academy, was in top form as she went through the card in the girls’ under-17’s defeating Lottie Taylor-French 3-1 in the final.

Eleanor’s stiffest challenge of the day was against OTWS club-mate Emma Bartley in the semi-finals. In a gripping match, The two girls delivered a superb exhibition of squash before Eleanor eventually took the honours 3-2.

Another Essex player, Aliza Sheikh out of the Connaught Club in Chingford, reached her allotted second seed position meeting No.1 seed Asia Harris in the final. Aliza brought plenty to the party but had to settle for the runners-up spot.

Essex fielded players in almost every age group. Check out all the scores at RESULTS
