Great win for Colchester’s Ellie Hewes at last weekend’s Welsh Junior Open. She took out the number one seed in the under-13 final with a mature and determined performance bringing the Welsh title back across the border.
Lexden’s Joel Braddock finished fourth after some notable wins, including a win over the Irish number two seed. His third-fourth play-off was a cracker with Hassan Khalil edging it 8-11, 14-12, 9-11, 10-12. Both boys are pictured below. Joel is in orange.
