This years Essex Closed will be held at Lexden Rackets and Fitness Club on the 21st and 22nd September 2024.

Payments need to be made via BACS using the details provided here.

When entering, please confirm which category your child is entering.

We are running;

Boys U11/U13/U15/U17/U19 

Girls U11/U13/U15/U17/U19 

The tournament will be run on Monrad scoring and where entries allow, plate winner and runner up trophies will also be awarded.

Information and Booking

By submitting your entry via email, players agree to abide by the tournament rules and to England Squash Code of Conduct.

NB. Photos will be taken on the day and may be published on the Essex Junior Squash website.

Payment

The entry fee this year is £22. Please email your entry and then make an online transfer using the bank details on this page. Your entry will not be acknowledged until payment has been made.

We would kindly request that you make separate transfers for each child to simplify the onerous task of checking all payments for our Treasurer. Please use your child’s name as reference.

Tournament Rules

  • Competitors MUST BE UNDER THE AGE GROUP LIMIT ON THE FINAL DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT. 
  • Competitors may only enter one event.
  • Seeding will be carried out using England Squash rankings (where applicable).
  • Eye protection must be worn for all matches.
  • The draw will be emailed to entrants 1 week before the tournament starts.
  • England Squash disciplinary conditions will be applied.
  • Withdrawal from the competition must be notified to the tournament organiser as soon as possible.
  • Winner of each match to mark the next game.
  • Closing date for entries is Sunday 15th September at Midnight. No refunds will be given after this date.
