Who’s interested in an Essex Ladies Super Series?

There are plans to run a ladies’ Essex Super Series over the course of the next few months at locations across the county.  The events will run every three months or so and work on a league basis with high-speed matches lasting between 15 or 20 minutes each. The final details are still being ironed out but it sounds like fun.

Joint organiser Alex King, who plays at Club Kingswood, is hoping to gauge the level of interest from the ladies and juniors of Essex to see who would be interested in taking part.

Alex explained: “We would run the event, probably on a Saturday, and it would be no more than three or four hours with a small cost involved which we are estimating to be about £15. We are looking to start in April with the launch event and then the next two events would be in June and October and then maybe a Xmas one in December.

“The super series will give us Essex ladies and juniors a chance to socialise, play some good squash and have some fun on a Saturday and build on the ladies’ and junior community.”
