Connaught Bronze showcases exciting young squash talent

by | Jun 13, 2017

Dave Webster served up another excellent Connaught Junior Bronze event on Saturday attracting players across the South East.

Essex, as expected, supplied the bulk of the players for a tournament that delivered an incredibly high level of squash a good sportsmanship. Kent’s Jack Mitterer looked the stand-out player and although he was pushed quite hard, he was a comfortable winner of the boys’ U-19’s. Playing him provided great experience for Essex players Sujan Srindran and Yusef Sheikh.

Essex trio Lara Newton (Under-13’s), Hannah Morley (Under-15’s) and Aliza Shekh (Under-19) all came away with winners’ trophies while Alex Banhidai emerged the victor in the boys’ Under-13’s. Dylan Robert’s headed the field in the boys’ U-11’s.
