The Essex Junior County Closed Tournament was again full of thrills and spills as the over a hundred of the county’s best young junior squash players fought for honours at this year’s championship.
Watched by a packed crowd, our juniors provided some entertaining and awesome squash to prove the depth of talent within the County is something we can all be proud of.

A massive thank you to the Essex Junior Squash committee, particularly Lauren and Karen Selby for making sure the tournament ran like clockwork. To Debbie and the rest of the mum’s who helped run the snack bar and to all those who helped mark over the course of the two days.
Top marker prize went to Lara Newton who was without doubt the weekend’s keenest marker.
Sports Hero of the weekend went to India Webb, who after a year out through illness, returned to the Essex Junior Squash fold this weekend. She has been missed.
Finally, thank you to all the parents and players for making this season’s Essex Junior Squash County Closed Championships as competitive and enjoyable as ever.
