ESSEX has a quartet of players in the draw for this weekend’s British Under-23 National Championships at Hunts County Squash Club in Cambridgeshire.
Richie Fallows is second seed in the men’s event which also features Lexden’s Aaron Allpress who opens his account against Hamish Falconer of Lincoln. And Essex teenagers Elise Lazarus and Alice Green line up in the women’s event which begins on Friday and runs through to Sunday. Elise meets Rhianne O’Donnell from Somerset while Alice takes on Sussex’s Jasmine Hutton.
World #41 Declan James, and World #17 Emily Whitlock are top seeds at the event. James is the Men’s defending champion and plays the event for the final time before moving out of the age group, whilst Whitlock contests the Women’s event for the first time.
Richie Fallows (2015 Men’s Runner-Up) from Stratford will be aiming to go one step further in this year’s Championships, with Amelia Henley and Alison Thomson (2015 Women’s Runner-Up) looking to challenge for the Womens title.
