FOUR players from Essex are heading to Lille this week for the French Junior Open.
Eleanor White (Chelmsford) and Alice Green (Billericay) have entered the girls’ Under-15 event with British National champion Alice installed as the 3/4 seed. She plays a qualifier in round one while Eleanor (9/16) opens her account against Catlyn Van Maas De Bie from Holland on Thursday.
Alice’s younger brother Ollie Green is 5/8 seed in the Under-13’s and the Essex quartet is completed by Elise Lazarus from Redbridge in the girls’ U-17’s. Elise (5/8) faces Ireland’s Ellie McVeigh (9/16) in her first match.
