Entries are closed as top players chase £1,000 prize pot
All points lead to Colchester for this year’s Essex Junior Open. The county committee are continually looking at ways to freshen up the event and this year they have found a new venue…six pristine glass-back courts at the Colchester Garrison, home of the British Army’s 16th Air Assault Brigade.
The Garrison boasts one of the finest sporting facilities in the county and the Essex Junior Open marks the first high-level squash event to be held there.
And to mark the event, the tournament is offering a total prize pot of £1000 for the under-15 and under-17 categories with a minimum £200 guaranteed for the winners of the under 17 events.
Closing date for the event was April 7th and the books are now closed.
