A message from Essex coach and committee member, Lauren Selby
Not long now until THE event of the season! Laura Massaro, current world champion, against former world number two Jenny Duncalf. A fantastic opportunity to see two of the world’s best female players battle it out at Connaught Squash club Saturday June 14th. We are also running a ladies/girls only tournament during the afternoon before heading into a fun evening of squash! Please note the exhibition in the evening is open to men and women!
Essex Junior Squash, who are promoting the event, is also offering the chance to play Laura and Jenny. We have 4 x 15 slots to play the girls (2 with Laura and 2 with Jenny). This will be run via a silent auction, if you would like to bid for a slot please send an email to karenselby@gmx.com with your bid amount and who you would like to play. The highest bidders will get the slots to play. The last date for bids is Friday 13th June.
There will also be a raffle and fun doubles match in the evening including some of the best female players in Essex. All the money raised will be put back into Essex junior squash, particularly women/girls development.
There is still time to enter the tournament and also buy exhibition tickets. Do not miss this wonderful opportunity!
